Default Turn signal relay nonstop clicking

The relay clicks nonstop but no lights flash. The hazards work fine but turn signals hyper click and flash when selected. Relay clicks nonstop until fuse is pulled.

I swapped the relay but nothing different.

Where do I go from here?

Has anything in the turn signal and brake light wiring been modified/altered in any way, and if so, how? Also, full schematics for your vehicle, which should be helpful, can be found on bbbind.com.

*When you say turn signal relay, and realizing there is no such relay, you are referring to the flasher unit, correct?

Yes the flasher.

The truck had a camper top when I bought it. The. Topper had a wire spliced into the left rear brake light to actuate the brake light on the topper.

I had a problem in a different vehicle where metal shavings from the steering wheel collected on the turn signal switch inside so it just clicked constantly at speed, I had to blast air in the side of the steering wheel where the turn signal lever is

If it were me, first thing I would do is make certain that whatever was altered by anyone in the past has been completely and correctly restored to original.

I just got done doing that. I have the paperwork showing it was performed by Leer at one of their service facilities.

Everything was really neatly done. I just pulled out the extra wiring and made sure all he connections were clean and secure. Looks fine.

I filled the steering column cover. The relay stops clicking when the harness going to he flasher switch is disconnected.

Wow,
I would start with the mulch-function switch

They're pretty expensive to replace. Any ideas on how to test it?

Try one from a junkyard.

Have you tried a new flasher?

I'm on mobile, so I can't see his sig, but I know newer vehicles don't use the typical round flasher anymore. (I don't think) I think it's controlled by the GEM module? Not sure. First thing I would also do is check the multifunction switch. Not sure what the readings are supposed to be with the switch in the on position, but you can search wiring diagrams and take a fluke meter to it.
